: The cooling doggie cloak
I have a dog. She's a briard which means lots of long hair, which means that she gets very hot in the summer. For three summers now I've only walked very short walks with her and shoved her in the shower very often. Which of course risks creating hot spots or skin inflammations. So this summer I decided it should be different.
Here's the result.

It was very simple to do; just terrycloth fabric that was already cut wide enough at the store then just cut long enough, sewn together at the front, a fitting neckline cut, the edges finished with a serger and then finished with a sewing machine. Oh, and of course a piece of ribbed material for the necline and a belt to keep it in place. The whole thing took me about an hour to do at the beginning of summer.
Well, she at least seems to be enjoying her newfound coolness. :)
